My first step into the therapeutic world was as a physiotherapist within the NHS specialising in relaxation and breathwork. I was always fascinated by the interweaving between the mind and the body and how one can so readily affect the other. This led me to train further in shiatsu and for many years these two practices moved alongside and supported each other on many levels.
In 2001 my back went into a great amount of spasm which brought my life as I had known it to a complete halt.
It became a very rich time of my life as I started to look more deeply at what had led up to this happening and then in 2006 Rosen Method appeared in my life with all its gentleness, simplicity and curious exploration. Over the next few years not only did my back find more ease, my whole life started to expand and flourish. For me, Rosen has opened up a profound connection to my heart and soul and this is what continues to inspire me in my Rosen practice today; to offer a safe space to others so that they can find a way back to their true selves.
Over the years I have also brought Rosen touch into my local hospice initially as a volunteer and then as Complementary Therapy Coordinator as well as into the Elderly Residential Care setting. It’s been an absolute privilege to do so.
