Ingrid-Maria Nordgren, MA, MBACP

Ingrid-Maria is a Senior Rosen Method Teacher, Supervisor and Practitioner and the co-founder of the Rosen Method UK School. Her journey with Rosen Method started in 1995 as a client, and having been so impressed with the novel approach of gentle touch and soft words and the changes she felt in herself, she decided that she wanted to train to become a practitioner. It felt right to learn to offer to others what she had greatly benefitted from for herself, and she enrolled in training in Scandinavia where she later qualified. Ingrid-Maria has taught both in the UK and internationally and have been an active member of the Rosen Institute, the US based parent certification organisation. She has served as a board member and worked on many committees as well as having held the post of the vice president of the Rosen Institute.

Meeting her colleague Annabelle Apsion in 2003, another trainee at the time but in another Rosen school abroad, they decided to join forces and bring the Rosen Method education to the UK. They have since built an educational organisation and a framework to advocate for the benefits of skilful somatic touch training and the transformational potential that Rosen Method offers. Ingrid-Maria also works as a psychotherapist in private practice specialising working with clients that are experiencing emotional difficulties, anxiety, anger related issues, building on own mind-body relationship, boundaries and building a good relationship with oneself and others.
