It was when I became a counsellor and a coach, having worked in education and travel, that I often felt something was missing, it seemed the body was missing amidst the talk.
Researching different options, I couldn’t find what I was looking for, so I stopped looking.
Then, in 2010, when I was at a crossroads in my life, suffering from migraines, shoulder and especially neck pain that just didn’t respond to treatment for more than a day or two, I discovered Rosen Method Bodywork. I had no idea what it was, but the tiny brown logo drew me in and hooked me, and it pulled me on to the path that I have followed since.
Within a month of seeing that logo, I was on my first Rosen Intensive course, where I experienced Rosen touch for the first time. This simple touch reached me in a way I could hardly describe, I experienced a profound sense of wholeness.
As I continued to attend sessions and intensives, there were all kinds of realisations, new awareness, releasing of tension and pain, my neck grew longer, migraines ceased, the pain decreased, and my chest widened.
My relationship with myself was transformed through Rosen. I made choices that aligned with my needs, values and dreams. It has also helped me to access inner resources to cope with some of life’s trickier situations and demands over the last few years.
Rosen has been a powerful tool for change and personal development in my life, as well as in the lives of my clients, and it continues to be so. I find it endlessly fascinating and fruitful.
It offers us a way of being in the world, a way of being ourselves, experiencing all of ourselves with more compassion.
I knew I wanted to share this beautiful, gentle work and all it has to offer with others, so I eventually decided to train as a practitioner and a teacher.
